The Promoting Pakefield Group was formed in 2004 by County Councillor for Pakefield Roger Belham plus Lesley Fisher, Eugene Smith and Paul Hobbs.
Promoting Pakefield achieved a number of objectivies; an annual Christmas tree, a booklet about Pakefield by John Holmes and the annual hanging baskets on the main A12 and Pakefield Street, in addition a "Welcome to Pakefield" sign, tourist brown sign and improvements to the war memorial.
For 2008 the following projects are planned; Hanging baskets on the main A12 and Pakefield Street. The erection of a Pakefield notice board for information and events outside Knight Vision. A Summer fete on the green between the Jolly Sailors and the Trowel & Hammer on Sunday June 15th.
